The Storm of the Year
I usually have my posts scheduled ahead of time, but I write them as if they are being written the day of. Tonight though I don’t know how I can do that. We have been nailed with snow today to the point that I don’t know what the total will be tomorrow. A big snowfall is nothing new to me. I used to live next to Lake Michigan where lake effect snow would come down much faster than it did today. The thing that will make things interesting is the fact that the temperatures will be so cold tomorrow (today). Just in case that provides some difficulties I will post a couple of days in advance just to ensure that the photos keep coming. This has to be the most snow that we have gotten so far this year. The rest of this post will be written as it normally is.
Photo of the Day
Yesterday before the snow really started coming down I went out to make a few pictures. The snow had blanketed the landscape making for some interesting images. For some reason I liked this one right away in the camera. I have not gone through all of my pictures from my adventure yet, but this one was interesting to me. The way that the wet snow left a bit of ice on the cherries intrigued me. I will post a few more of my photos in the next few days.
Technical Data
For this photo I wanted to try something different, but I knew the look that I wanted. I wanted the HDR look preset that is in Lightroom. This is a free preset that was created by Matt Kloskowski.
