Photo of the Day
Yesterday I spent part of the last day of the year inside of Mackey Arena shooting the Purdue Boilermakers vs. the Ohio State University. OSU came in ranked #3 in the country, and the favorite. Purdue tried to use the home crowd to their advantage, but could not get it done in the end. This was a valiant effort though. These young kids can play, and the coming year should bring some great moments in Mackey.
Technical Data
This photo was part of an experiment for me. I always save the files to two cards in my camera. On my compact flash card go the RAW images. On the sad card I save a small JPEG for Instagram or whatever else I want to send out during the game. Here I opened the file in Photogene to see what the program can do. It is a great program for the iPad that really could be a lifesaver. You can make most of the edits you might need in the program, and then send out the images. In an arena like Mackey you really don’t need the RAW files. The lighting is constant, and I have my settings dialed in. I just need a way to edit my pictures faster, and his may be it. I will have more on the program later I am sure.
