Photo of the Day

This morning I woke up to a tree that was now surrounded by presents. Santa must have really thought that we have been good this year. I will keep this short today as we have a busy one. I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all of my readers. I hope you all have a great holiday.

Technical Data

For this photo I thought that I would go back to Photomatix to see what it could do. I am still using version 4 even though 5 has been out for quite some time. I just haven’t had a chance to mess with it yet. Photomatix used to be an everyday part of my workflow, but now it has kind of fallen by the wayside. I took three photos with my camera two stops apart each. Inside of Photomatix I used the creative preset to start. From there I tweaked the sliders a bit. Inside of Lightroom I adjusted the vibrance and highlights. In reality this was a very quick edit.
