On Enemy Ground

Akeem Hunt (1) takes a break during pregame of the Big Ten Conference game between the Purdue Boilermakers and the Indiana Hoosiers

Photo of the Day

Yesterday I covered the Old Oaken Bucket game between the Indiana Hoosiers and the Purdue Boilermakers in Bloomington, Indiana. Purdue went into the game as heavy underdogs, but that didn’t mean that they thought they were going to lose. As they warmed up I got the feeling that they had something for the Hoosiers. They really did not have many answers for the Hoosiers in the first half, but they did play a very good second half of the game. It was not enough though as they lost 56-36. They have now worn these black helmets twice. The results of both games have not been what most would want, but I still love the look.

During the pre game I decided to try a couple of new things. I wanted to get some of the details of game day that I usually leave out. I come in so focused to capture action that I forget that these shots often have a lot of impact as well.

Technical Data

As with most of my sports pictures this one was very easy to edit. A small adjustment to the highlights and shadows, and I was happy with this one.

Go Pro Video

Below is a short Go Pro video that I took yesterday of the Hoosiers rushing over the claim the Old Oaken Bucket along with the celebration that ensued.
