Photo of the Day
Part of the fun of my first trip to San Francisco was watching the different trolleys as they made their way around the city. I did not have much time in the great city, but I did try and photograph the famous trolleys whenever they went by. I was in full tourist mode for the couple of free hours that I had. I would love to spend some time on the hilly streets of San Francisco photographing these trolleys against a background of my choosing rather than just catching one while walking from one place to another. This shot turned out pretty good though for a quick grab.
Technical Data
This photo would have been a great time to use the tools that HDR programs can give you. The problem is that the trolley was moving so I would have had to really use photoshop to get rid of the ghosting that would have occurred in the three image bracket. I decided to try and use just the metered exposure. I started things out with the sports game day preset by Matt Kloskowski. I use the preset often, but usually the light version. Here the strong version seemed to really work. A quick slider adjustment for the highlights and the exposure, and this photo was ready.

Such a fun city. My favorite city in the US. Have fun.
very nice… i like it
