Photo of the Day
Going out to get the newspaper this morning it had a feel of summer. Nothing says summer to me like being on the boardwalk in Ocean City. This really is a very cool place to hang out. I love textures with grain in them for landscape pictures, and the boardwalk is a gold mine for that. I made this picture during my first trip to the beach. I thought that it had a couple of different elements of famous pieces of art in it that I liked. For some reason it has taken a while for it to make it to the blog.
Technical Data
This was a photo that at the time should have been the metered exposure for an HDR compilation. With the fact that people are in the photo merging three images into one HDR image can leave ghosting that I have to get rid of. Sometimes if the conditions are right I can fake the HDR process by using the metered image and working the sliders in Lightroom very hard. This was one of those times. To get the sky right along with the interior of the shop you have to really pull hard from both ends of the photo. Every now and then I like the look of the HDR’d image.
