Photo of the Day
Here is another image from the swimming and diving meet from last Friday night. There is something about the form of the breaststroke that looks good to the camera for me. Capturing the face of a 50m freestyle swimmer in action is impossible. The breaststroke gives you plenty of opportunities to capture the swimmers face out of the water. They even do it in a nice rhythmic pattern as well. I liked this picture because it finally allowed me to see what my brother was demonstrating at a wedding just over a year ago.
Technical Data
This photo required a small crop to make the swimmer more of the focus. I also adjusted the white balance to make the photo more real to life. It was my first time in the pool, and I couldn’t get a consistent feel for the white balance. The beauty about shooting in RAW is that you can make it right in post. Now after changing it in Lightroom I have a good feel for where I want to be the next time I enter the pool.
