Laying It In

Photo of the Day

Last night I shot the Purdue exhibition game in a little different fashion. I shot the first half on the Purdue end of the court, but then at halftime I stayed down there to shoot Wayne State on offense. During the first half I tried a couple of things. One of those was to use my 70-200mm lens on my crop sensor camera. I knew that I would have the 5dIII by the next game, but I wanted to see what I could do. There really is very little room for error when shooting that way. The image above is not cropped at all. It really was kind of fun to try and get everything in the frame. On the other hand I missed a couple of shots because of it. I really feel as if the 70-200mm lens on a full frame sensor is the way to go. I will have more on that after I get a chance to try it.

Technical Data

As I said above nothing was done to crop this image. All that I did in Lightroom was to perform a couple of tweaks to the highlights and shadows. I love it when an image is this easy to crop.
