Photo of the Day
I have now shot a couple of Purdue games on the sidelines. The one thing that you see as you look at the team is the young players that really want to play. Here true freshman Jake Replogle (54) makes his way into the Nebraska backfield. These young players seem to have infused a sense of urgency into this team. Tomorrow they face a big test as #4 Ohio State comes to town. Just four short years ago a 1-5 Boiler team beat Ohio State who was ranked #7 at the time. Can history repeat itself? From a personal perspective a win means amazing pictures after the game. From a fans perspective I would also love to see a signature win early for Coach Hazell. Only time will tell though. There are also rumors of a special uniform for the game. Subtle hints so far that say that we will see something exciting tomorrow. There are a lot of things to look forward to as this team takes the field for a big conference game.
Technical Data
This photo needed a bit of cropping. I am shooting with a 70-200mm lens with a 1.4x converter on it. That gets me some range on a crop sensor camera, but it does not get me across the field. You need a heck of a lens for that. Other than cropping in I just made a few slider adjustments here to get what I wanted. It really is nice to edit sports photos as they take less work. The only downside is that I have many, many more of them to edit so the work to each has to be minimal.
