Photo of the Day
Yesterday I was on the sidelines for the Purdue football game yet again. Just like my first game there the game did not go according to plan. Purdue despite two weeks to prepare was no match for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. There were not many highlights for Purdue, but a few things happened that made for interesting pictures. One such play is shown above. Purdue running back Akeem Hunt (1) was making a move in the flat when the Nebraska defender tried some weird flip move to get to him. There was no contact on the play, but it really did yield an interesting result for sure. Despite the outcome there were many bright spots on the field yesterday. A lot of the key plays were made by very young players. Maybe I am just the eternal optimist, but I think that it won’t be long until this team is thrilling the fans again. Maybe Ohio State should be on upset alert when the Boilers play in Ross Ade again.
Technical Data
This photo really did not need much work to it. The first thing that I did was to crop the image. This play happened way down the field from where I was so my lens really did not reach it. Thankfully I have enough pixels here to be able to crop in a bit. Other than that I just tweaked a few sliders in Lightroom to make the RAW file pop a bit. Below I will post a few more images from the day. I had a wide variety of styles in editing those. I had some fun editing these files. Some of them did not get the normal sports edit. Maybe I just had too much time on my hands last night.
Bonus Pictures
Here are a few bonus pictures from the game yesterday.

Beautiful photos. Do you use the 20 -200 f2.8 for many of these? Very impressive. M
Thanks for the kind words. It was a mix of the 24-70 and the 70-200 with the 1.4x tele on it.
