Photo of the Day
The day before my daughter was born I went out to the Boilermaker Soccer Complex to shoot the Big Ten opener for Purdue. This year has been the year of soccer. I never really understood the sport so I made myself learn it. That may have been a mistake as I have really come to enjoy it. I was not shooting the match for all of the game action, but rather waiting for moments. Out of all of the moments during the game this was one of my favorites. Here Boiler Mollie Kuramoto advances the ball forward by hitting it with her chest. Mollie has a great story, and is a great reason to root for this team.
Technical Data
As with most of my sports images I really did not do much here. I shoot in RAW, but I have been tempted to go back to jpeg for my sports images. I lose a lot of ability to get highlights and shadows back, but on a good day I won’t need to.
