The Low Hanging Fruit

Photo of the Day

I visited my brother for his birthday about a week ago. It was my second time at his house, and the first time that I really was able to see one of the beautiful sunsets that they have there everyday. There was not a cloud in the sky though so most people would have given up. I decided to try and incorporate some of the features of his yard into my shots to see what I could come up with. I liked the idea of a pear silhouette with the sun in the background. I really liked this picture as well as a couple of more from the night, but the football games the next day pretty much took my attention away for a few days. It is nice to be able to finally post this picture to the site.

Technical Data

To start off I stopped down to a f/22 to get the starburst that I wanted. I bracketed for HDR, but in the end I chose to just edit the metered exposure. All that was really done thought was a couple of minor adjustments to the sliders. This picture was made in the camera with just some processing of the RAW file needed.
