Photo of the Day
Yesterday I read quite a bit about the new song by Paul McCartney. Of course the song is called ‘New.’ It is a fun song that amazes you that a man can keep coming up with hits after all of these years. It seems as if he is having fun though so that has to make it a bit easier. I made the picture above in July while waiting to get in to the Paul McCartney concert in Indianapolis. I was very excited to see Sir Paul, and I had to get some pictures in early. I loved the way they dressed up the arena, and I think that it made a good picture. Sometimes you have to stand in the longest line to have the best line of sight to make a picture.
Technical Data
This was one of the very first images that I made with my Nikon Coolpix. I bought the camera just for situations like this one. I couldn’t take my dSLR into the show so I had to have something little with me. I really have loved the idea of having the little camera at my side instead of the larger one at times. It makes life much easier, and I don’t always feel as if I am missing out on a picture. This was an easy edit. I cropped the image to a square shape first of all. I have really enjoyed some of what I see on Instagram so some of my pictures take that shape now. I then applied an HDR preset in Lightroom that I downloaded for free from Matt Kloskowski. It really brings out the detail in the scene without needing much more done to it.
