Photo of the Day
Last night I went to the scrimmage at Harrison High School to see a little football. I do not like these new scrimmages as there really is nothing to play for. Harrison however apparently thought it was the Super Bowl even though no score was kept on the scoreboard. It was a good practice for the players as well as me. After not shooting field sports for a while it was good to get back into the swing of things. As the scrimmage ended I walked up to the West Side huddle to try and make a couple of pictures in good light. I knew that if I could get my camera over my head a good picture would come of it. I was right. My one regret is that I did not switch to a wide angle lens at the end of the game. I guess there is always next week.
Technical Data
This was a quick edit. The main goal when processing the RAW file was to bring out the sky as it was at that moment along with keeping the players looking good in the foreground. This was a balance that was fairly easy to accomplish. The end of this scrimmage had some beautiful light with it. I tried some things that may end up on this blog in the future.
Behind the Scenes Video
Once again I strapped the Go Pro on top of my camera to show what I see during a shoot. For this one I was taking video more for myself to see how I was doing. I thought that I would throw it together though so that you could see how some of my pictures get made.
