Photo of the Day
Last year in Maryland I carried around my bulky dSLR for most of the trip. This year I used my Nikon point and shoot for of lot of the work on and around the boardwalk. Everyday we would walk by these sand sculptures, and I finally took a picture of them on our last day in town. These sculptures are done with love by Randy Hofman to spread the word of God. They are made once a week, and you sometimes have to act quickly if rain is in the forecast if you want a picture of them. This year the rain got to the sand before I could make a picture, but I still think it held up pretty well. The path in front of the sculptures are lined with Bible verses so it is a great way to teach while you have fun on the boardwalk.
Technical Data
This was an easy edit. I didn’t want to push the limits of the point and shoot too far. I used the black and white HDR preset by Matt Kloskowski to get the image close. I then tweaked the highlights and the blacks and whites to get the image that I wanted. This was a very easy edit, but one that I thought made the image look like it should.
