Photo of the Day
Here is yet another picture from the butterfly exhibit at the Botanical Gardens in Indianapolis. I really was taken by these butterflies. They all had something that made them unique. This was one of the first pictures that I took inside the enclosure. I had black and white in mind while taking it knowing that the contrast would be perfect. The Owl Butterfly up against a rock was perfect. I love how it appears as if an eye is looking right back at you.
Technical Data
This was an easy edit. Once imported into Lightroom 4 I used the HDR Black and White (light) preset by Matt Kloskowski. I then tweaked some of the settings so that the picture looked right to me. In the end I had what I had envisioned inside of the enclosure.
