It All Starts Here

Photo of the Day

I saw parts of two baseball games today, but I have yet to even look at those pictures. I have to go to the vault to find a picture of the day. I saw this picture that I took in 2008 of Radio City Music Hall, and I knew that it was the one. With many sports fans looking to the building because it is currently housing the NFL Draft I thought that it was a good choice. This was a quick photo taken on the fly while walking around New York with some friends in 2008. I really did not know what I was doing at the time, but I think that it turned out pretty good with that in mind.

Technical Data

This was a picture that I took in 2008 when I was just running around in auto mode on my camera. I really was not in control of what kind of a picture that I took. I used Lightroom to bring this picture to life. I always liked it, but after tweaking the sliders in Lightroom I now love it. The bulk of the heavy lifting in bringing this picture to life was in the clarity, contrast, and highlights sliders. They really made this picture look great. I also had to use the built in noise reduction in the program to get rid of the noise caused by editing a jpeg. I think that it turned out great though.
