Miller Park

Sports Photo of the Day

Since I am spending this weekend in Milwaukee I thought that I would post this picture that I took in 2009 as we were spending part of our summer baseball tour there. Miller Park is a very nice stadium that is fun to see a game at. When you drive a few hours to watch a baseball game you like the idea that it will be played. My first time in 2003 rain developed, and they simply closed the roof. The game could go on. On a day like this one in 2009 they could open the roof, and see a beautiful day come inside. Part of why I like this picture is the fact that Milwaukee’s star player at the time, Prince Fielder, is at bat. I love these shots from the stadiums I attend so I am sure that a few more of them will show up over time on this blog.

Technical Data

Since this was taken as a jpeg I couldn’t do too much to it. I did apply a Trey Ratcliff Lightroom preset to it called “HDR in Lightroom – Daytime Fixy.” I liked how it brought the sky back in a bit, but it seemed a bit fake to me. I desaturated the shot a bit to get it back into the realm of realistic again.
