The Super Bowl Village

It has been a year since the Super Bowl was in Indy. I really enjoyed the way that the town went all out for the event. I took my camera one Saturday and toured the city. I was on my way out of town when I decided to stop and make this image. I am really glad that I did though as it is one of my favorite images from the day. This was not easy to do handheld, but I managed to make it work. I hope that the city of Indianapolis gets another shot at the Super Bowl because they did a great job the first time they had it.

Technical Data

This shot was originally supposed to be part of a three shot HDR image, but I never liked how it turned out. I ended up just taking the RAW file into Lightroom to adjust the sliders. I adjusted them to taste mainly trying to make the colors pop a bit more. This was an amazing scene in person, and I wanted to show what I saw. I was a bit naive taking the shot, and forgot to shoot at a lower aperture. The good news was though that the lights had a nice starburst effect that I really liked.
