Photo of the Day
Here is a shot that I took on the day that changed my photography life forever. This was in July of 2011 when I was taking a photowalk and learning that I knew absolutely nothing about my camera. I actually metered this shot and took what I think is a perfect exposure. Ever since that day though I did not like the absolutely clear sky behind this scene from Navy Pier. Changing the shot using the infrared preset from Trey Ratcliff in Lightroom really seemed to make the shot pop for me. That clear sky went dark giving this a very cool look for me. The flipping of the colors I think made this a shot that I would not mind posting on here.
Technical Data
As I said I used one of Trey Ratcliff’s presets for this shot. The infrared preset kind of flips everything around making a dull sky much more interesting to me. I have been experimenting with this preset for the last couple of days. Maybe a couple of more of these will show up when I am in Colorado next week.

Thank you
Wow – amazing shot and great angle. I should try it next time I visit Navy Pier 🙂
