Photo of the Day
I liked this picture from the day that I took it. For some reason though I have never posted it. I think I wanted it to be perfect because I really liked the idea of it. I took this picture in March when I was visiting Chicago. I always like to visit the Art Museum, but I rarely get a chance to. This painting has always intrigued me so I was looking forward to getting a picture of it. I was at first dissapointed by the people in front of it, and then I realized that this would actually make this picture much better. A lone painting on a wall is not very interesting. It is the people in front of the painting that make it interesting.
Technical Data
Here is where I was hung up initially. I wanted to get all of the noise out of the picture caused by the low light of the museum. I spent some time with the noise reduction sliders in Lightroom working on this. After I got rid of some of the noise I applied one of Trey Ratcliff’s presets to it. It still had some noise, but then I remembered that Seurat really didn’t care about the detail in his people. He thought that the scene should be the star. That is when I decided to export the picture so that I could post it.
