How far has Pete Rose fallen? Last night on TLC I saw the first two episodes of their new reality show starring Pete Rose. As a kid he was one of my favorite athletes, and since his abrupt exit from baseball he has not done anything to bring himself back to the game. Early in the first show he talked about how the reality show might help him get into the Hall of Fame. For some reason I think that it might have the opposite effect. All I kept thinking while watching both episodes was how far has this man fallen? Of course I did watch both of them so there must be something with the show.
I took this picture in 2008 when I was at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. I liked the fact that despite not having a plaque in the Hall of Fame that Pete was still represented in the Hall. With all of the talk of what will happen to the steroids users who may not get into the Hall I think about Pete. He is the all time hit leader, but he is still left out. The Hall may not have the all time hits leader, the all time home runs leader, and the all time wins leader. That should tell you that something is wrong.
Technical Data
This photo was edited in Lightroom by using the light sports preset on it. I brought it in with some other sports shots so I applied the preset to all of them. I was going to take it away from this shot, but I liked what it did to it. Other than that I did nothing to this shot.
