Photo of the Day

As the holidays have ended I think that it is time for the blog to get back to normal. It was a surprising challenge to shoot 25 pictures for Christmas. For some reason I felt that I was forcing it. It was a bit like my photo 365 project in that way. Sometimes my best work has not been on display because of forcing it. Now we can get back to pictures that I like.

I took this picture in 2008 while we were at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. I was in awe the entire trip, but certain players were very good to see. This display of items from Tom Seaver were nice because as a child one of my greatest memories in sports was watching him get win #300 in Yankee Stadium as a member of the White Sox. So why not start my New York trip by checking out some of his Mets gear? The Hall is a great place to reconnect to your childhood. I can’t wait to go back.

Technical Data

This shot almost made this blog at the same time as the Bonds ball did. I really wanted to post something from the Hall. Since that time I have looked at the photo again, and made a couple of changes. I still am using the strong sports preset that I did on the first edit, but I changed a couple of things. The first was cropping the shot to get everything else out of the frame except the Seaver memorabilia.
