Photo of the Day
With the snow and wind outside I thought that today I would revisit a picture from our trip to Ocean City in July. This image certainly looks warmer than it does outside right now. I have always liked this image since I took the shot for a couple of reasons. The first is that it was taken from under my umbrella as I sat on the beach. I was very relaxed, and I decided to try and get a couple of shots. A well placed piece of food by another group of beachcombers attracted some birds. I saw this guy coming in, and I decided to focus on him. I had two good images of him, but I liked this shot of him landing a bit more. I just got a little warmer by posting this shot today.
Technical Data
Once again I used a sports preset in Lightroom as a starting point. I like the way that they sharpen the image, and I know them well enough now to know which one to use when. I used the medium preset here for the shot. From there I made a small exposure adjustment as well as bringing back a little of the highlights. This was a very quick edit.
