Today I made a decision that for better or worse will alter the course of my life. I thought that this was a good picture that would symbolize the change. I took this a couple of weeks ago while watching the sunrise over the fog just East of Lafayette. I liked it a little less than the picture that I posted that day because there really wasn’t much in the foreground. I thought the golden rocks might work, but they didn’t pop like I thought that they might. In any case this shows the start of a new day, and for that reason it will get posted tonight. I also like the symmetry of having sunrise and sunset pictures on the blog during the same day.

Technical Data

Not too much to report here as far as specifics. This was pretty much a play with the sliders type picture. No presets were used for once. I just kept trying to match the beauty of the morning with the sliders until I was able to get it right. Sometimes it feels good to start from scratch, and not used a preset.
