Photo of the Day
Friday I read where an exhibit was at the Purdue Airport that celebrated the Tuskegee Airmen. I have not seen any of the movies about the group, but I know the general story. They were part of the brave fighting force in World War II that had issues other than the enemy to worry about. It is hard for me to believe that in the midst of war people still had time for racism. I had never shot a plane before so I had to survey the scene a bit to see what I thought was interesting. I found many things about this plane, but today I thought that I would post this shot of the front of the plane. For the presentation red lights were set up to accent the plane a bit. When I first got on the scene none of the lights were set up yet. I had pretty much finished my shoot, but then I decided to start again and re-shoot the shots that I liked. This let me capture the plane with the light on it. I really liked the way that it made the plane look. I took a few more shots that might find their way onto this blog in the futre. This plane was flown over the football game the next day. It was nice to have access to a plane like this to practice on.
Technical Data
The first step in post here was to change the white balance in Lightroom. I just shoot in auto, but sometimes it does not give me the look that I want. Here I changed it to fluorescent to give me more of the look that I saw in person. From there I adjusted the clarity, highlights, and the contrast. I really did not change too much here as this was a simple shot that I really liked in the camera.
