Bonus Photo of the Day
For some reason this shot stuck with me from the game yesterday. In the midst of a nice run by Akeem Shavers it appears as if Purdue lineman Rick Schmeig is dancing with a defender. I know that it is not the case, but it is these little moments in a game that I love. This was actually the block that sprang Shavers for a very nice gain.
Technical Data
Once again this was shot with the 70-200mm 2.8 lens that I am renting from Berry’s Camera Shop in Lafayette. I put my 1.4x extender on the lens to be able to get a little closer to the action. This shot was only cropped a little in Lightroom, but other than that it is just how I shot it. I had some fun playing around during the game. I shot the first half in manual mode as I always do. I had to keep adjusting during the half though as the lighting changed. I decided to switch to aperture priority mode in the second half so that I could just shoot. I found that most of the pictures came out nice, but if I panned to quick and shot they came out dark. I will have to play around with this a bit more, but for now I will stay in manual until I feel I have a good shot in hand.
