Flashback Photo
In the spring of 2010 we were in Houston to see the Boilers play in the NCAA Tournament. On the last day of the trip we made our way to LaPorte, Texas. I grew up in LaPorte, Indiana so it was intriguing to me to see this sister city down by the bay. We stopped at the San Jacinto Monument that is located there, and at the top of that is where I took this picture. the monument was erected to commemorate a great battle in Texas history, but for me it was the last stop on our trip. If you look closely you can see the USS Texas down below. This is a really col site, and I wonder today why I didn’t take my dSLR with me.
Technical Data
This was taken once again with my Blackberry Storm. When it worked I loved the phone, but that didn’t seem to be too often. I ran the picture through Snapseed to bring it to life a bit with the dramatic setting. In that setting I upped the filter strength as well as increased the saturation a bit.
