Day 317: I Saw Them Standing There

Photo of the Day

Tonight we went into Lafayette to see yet another faux Beatles band. This one was called 1964, and it was different from the other two that I have seen in that they stayed with the early material of the Beatles. There are some great songs late in the catalog, but they kept it in the early days. The music is really well done, because these guys have been doing this for a while. That said you can see that they have been doing it a while as they really don’t portray the young Beatles all that well with their appearance. I would see this group again though in a heartbeat. It was a fun night that the crowd really seemed to enjoy.

Technical Data

This shot was completely edited in Lightroom. I really didn’t mess with a lot of the settings, but I did use the built in noise reduction feature. My kit lens was not fast enough to capture them correctly so I had to crank up the ISO to 6400. That left me with a lot of noise when I looked at the shot. The noise reduction in Lightroom really works wonders, and I love this shot now. I really didn’t go through my pictures as it was late, but I did like the lighting of this shot late in the show.
