Photo of the Day
Today I was heading to work to check on something just before the sunset. I was hoping to capture something cool, but I just missed a set of clouds that were lit up. On the way down the road I could see them ‘on fire’, but I was too late, and it was fading by the time I could get somewhere to shoot it. I did my best though and the result is above.
Technical Data
This was edited in Lightroom again. I had to crop down to get the shot that I was thinking about. Sometimes you have the wrong lens on, and you have to improvise. I also pushed the exposure a bit to get the silhouetted look in the foreground. All in all it was not a bad shot. This is another example of a new way that I am going about my HDR shots. I ran the picture through Photomatix, but I saved it as a tiff file when the 32 bit preview came up. Photomatix is then closed down. I then open up the tiff file in Lightroom. It is amazing what you can do with this file. I get something that I think is much better, and it is not as toned as I was doing. I really like this method, and I think that the pictures show it. I would guess that you wouldn’t even know this is HDR if I didn’t tell you.
