Friday Flashback: Kansas City Skyline

Flashback Photo

Today is another in a series of flashback posts that I plan on posting every Friday. I like the idea of going back and looking at my work prior to owning a dSLR camera. I will be traveling in the next week so I thought that a picture from a previous trip that loved would work here. In April of 2005 I made the short trip from my town in Iowa to Kansas City. I had a lot on my agenda, but I made an unexpected stop. I noticed this World War I monument that stood alone a bit away from the town. I took many pictures of it, but I also wanted a picture from the top of it. They were warning people that it was windy on the observation deck, but I went anyway to get the shot hat I wanted. I am very afraid of heights so the low wall combined with the wind up there made it memorable to say the least. Back then I loved this picture, but of course now I have a few ideas to make it better. The experience taking it though was worth it.
