Day 238: The Church on the Corner

Earlier in this project I included a shot of this church. That was on day 61 (you can see that post here). Looking back at that early attempt at HDR I am a little embarrassed. I really feel as if I have come a long way in a short period of time. I can’t wait to see what the future brings. I have been back to the site a few times since that first stop. Over the last couple of weeks I have been parked here four times. Each time I felt that the conditions were not right. Since that day last December I acquired a wide angle lens that I felt could make this little church look very cool. I had the shot I wanted lined up, but the sky never seemed to cooperate. I was even here last night after taking the picture of the Indian, but the light was already gone without a cloud to be found. Today some beautiful wind swept clouds were in the area, but they never seemed to get behind the church. I took this shot anyway because I had been here so much. I figured that since this blog is about learning the craft I can always come back again and shoot this church when the conditions are right. Tomorrow will be the last day here in Indiana for a few days so I will have to try and get a good shot to go out on.
