Day 237: The Sun King

This statue in a local cemetery has always intrigued me. I have wanted to get a picture of it, but it just never seemed like the right time. Tonight I knew that the lack of clouds would make the sunset unimpressive. I was trying to find something to get quickly as I did not have a safety shot in case that situation arose. I saw the statue and thought that I would try something. I think that I captured the sunset pretty well with this shot. I was not sure on the scene, but after running it through Photomatix I liked the results. I installed some photoshop plugins today that I have seen on the Trey Ratcliff videos, but I liked this one the way that it was. Maybe I can try them out on tomorrow’s picture.
