Day 221: The Old Car

Yesterday I was back in my hometown for Mother’s Day. Just behind my parents house is a woods that we played in as kids. My brother and I went back there to see the old cars that fascinated us as kids. How could these old cars get back into a woods? The answer is just beyond them as an old road can still be made out in the woods. Time has started to have its way back here, but it is still pretty cool.

I really struggled with this picture. I wanted a great angle of the car, but nothing seemed to work. As someone who took over 1,000 pictures this weekend it pains me to say that my brother came up with this angle. He had the right idea for sure. Looking back I think I might have framed it a little differently, but in the end I love the shot. This is the kind of scene that just screams for HDR. I need to come back to this woods at high noon to get the sunlight coming in through the trees.
