Tonight I had some big plans, but they didn’t materialize. Because of that I had a little extra time to take a picture. I have been noticing the fact that the flowers on a vine in the back yard were getting ready to open up, and I decided to give it a shot. I tried to take my picture handheld, but instead actually went and grabbed the tripod out of my car for once. I normally don’t use the tripod, but I decided that this would be a great chance to try it out. I wanted to see what the flower looked like in HDR so the tripod would help me maintain stability. While looking at the pictures before putting them into Photomatix I noticed one that I liked right out of the camera. This is that picture. While the HDR shot looked good I liked this one a little better. This just goes to show you that HDR is not always the answer. I will have to shoot this arch again when more flowers are out, and you can see them all. I should make for a great shot.
Beautiful clematis!
Thank You! Now I even know the name of them.
