Day 94: Wilson!

Today I was on a mission to head to Logansport, Indiana to find something interesting to shoot. I never made it there though as I found plenty to shoot well before I made it there. After a couple of borderline sites I saw a sign for a historic bridge just a couple miles down a country road. I took some shots from up on the road, and then I noticed a trail that went down to Deer Creek. I walked it thrilled to get a better angle of the bridge. I thought it looked good now, but imagine leaves on the trees. This will be a great shot to get in the summer. For that matter this should be absolutely beautiful in the fall. This bridge may be on this blog a couple of times before all is said and done. For a bridge built in 1898 it looks pretty good. It has gone through some makeovers since the Lafayette Bridge Company built it, but it still has a great look to it.

I took a shot a little lower to the ground closer to the bridge that I liked as well, but for some reason I thought this one looked better. The rest of my shots of the bridge are on Flickr right now, and the rest of my days fun will be one there later tonight. I you look on the shore to the left you can see a small area with rocks on it. That is where I took the shot that I linked to on Flickr. In the end I like how the bridge looks on this shot, and the water near the camera looks great.

I have a weird brain, and for some reason I kept thinking of Tom Hanks yelling “Wilson!” in Castaway the entire time I was at this bridge. That is why I named the post the way that I did, and can’t get the picture of a bloody volleyball out of my head now.
