Day 91: A Minute or Two Late

Tonight I got off of work just before the sunset again. In fact I missed most of the great light right before the sunset. So once again my picture for the day is of the sunset. I knew a great little pond/lake just down the road from where I work and live. I knew that I would be close to getting a good shot just by driving by. Luckily nobody was behind me so I stopped and took a couple pictures. By a couple I mean twelve. I took two sets of six bracketed exposures in order to make two HDR pictures. I took one set from dead on, and then backed up about thirty feet to get the shot that you see above. I thought that the angle was better, and also the curve sign adds a little to the shot overall. I wish that I had showed up a couple minutes before when the light was more on the ice. A couple minutes at sunset is an eternity. The good news for the second day in a row is that I can improve on this picture. Luckily in a 365 project I have plenty of time for that.
