Today I went out to see some of the surrounding area that I had not seen before. Just up the road on 52 is the town of Fowler. I heard that they had a cool little on screen theater that might look good. I drove up there, and sure enough the theater was pretty cool. I took a couple of pictures that I would form into an HDR image because that is all I seem to do lately. The picture I took looked great after I changed it, but I am glad that I came back through as the sun was still going down to get this picture. I like the way that the lights bounce off the building. I made this one just a little different than I have any other so far. I took two separate burst of three pictures, and adjusted my camera speed in between. This is a six image HDR shot. I guess that you can tell that since as I write this I realized that I did not crop the image. Besides that though I liked how it turned out. I had not had much luck with HDR shots of lights so far, but the main sign turned out great.
I took a few more barn shots today as well. I decided to start a Flickr account to put some of the other shots that I take during the day on to keep the posts here to around one a day. I really liked the multi-colored barn, and thought that it would make a good bonus shot for this site. Instead I have it on Flickr. It may still end up on here as the night goes on. You can find a link to that Flickr account below in the links section or you can simply click here. I also created a Facebook page for this site and my photography. If you feel so inclined you can become a fan to get updates whenever I make a new post. You might also get some insight into what I will be featuring that day. A link to that page can be found below as well, or once again you can just click here.
It also just dawned on me that this is the first Christmas shot to appear on this site. I don’t want to alarm you, but it is only 22 days away! I thought while I was shooting this how cool it was that the movie on the marquee is a Christmas movie. I am sure in the next three weeks that a few Christmas themed pictures will end up on here.
