Day 45: Close Up Corn

On Friday I tried something new with my pizza, and tonight I thought I would build on what I learned. The other night I was out at the windmills taking pictures when I saw some corn still up. I grabbed a couple of ears so that on a day that I had nothing else to photograph I could try some shots of the corn. I had an idea in my head of getting a shot with the middle in focus with the rest out of focus. For some reason that was not working so well. I just can’t get as close as I would like with either of my lenses. I decided to put the long lens on to get a close up of the kernels. I do not think this picture would win any awards, but they can’t all be great taking one a day. I am starting to wonder what I will be taking pictures of in the dead of winter. This could get interesting while I wait spring when the color comes back out.

One thing that I forgot to mention yesterday was that while shooting at the game I took my 10,000th picture with my new camera. I bought the camera in early September so that is a lot of pictures in that period of time. Lets see how quickly I can get to 20,000!
