Day 30: Spokes

Today I did not get home from work until five o’clock. On my day off at that! I really did not have time to go out and find a picture so I decided to find one at home. I have been taking ideas from a book on photography for the days where I find myself hunting for subjects. Today’s tip was to look for repeating patterns in objects. I looked all over my apartment until I realized that my bikes were full of repeating patterns. I decided to give the spokes a try as a subject. I liked the composition of this picture, but the ugly wall in my utility room almost held me back from posting it. That is when I decided that taking the color out would fix this photo. I will have to find something that is worth taking a color photo of to get me out of this black and white funk I have been in lately.
